Grays Harbor Adventist Christian School

September 24, 2017
Dear Parents,
We are looking forward to our field trip to Opal Glass (1232 First St., Cosmopolis, 98537) this Thursday. We will be loading the vehicles at 10:30 and arriving at 11:00. After our viewing of glass blowing we will go to a park. We will be back at the school for tone chimes at 2:00.
Friday will be our first Frog (Fully Rely On God) Fest party. Students who are finished with their journals and work will have an hour of free time to celebrate their efforts on the last day of every month. Michelle and Greg Schneider are donating cheese pizza for lunch on Frog Fest days. Thank you so much, Michelle and Greg, and congratulations, students!
We love seeing those water bottles at our school for the students. If your student does not have one at the school, please send one. Thanks.
This is the last week of the PFE visits and reflections for September.
I have a reminder that it is time to sign up for the College Bound Scholarship program for 7th and 8th grade students. This program provides financial assistance to low-income students who want to achieve the dream of a college education. The email address is or phone 888 575 0747.
Lastly, I would recommend The Five Love Languages of Teenagers by Gary Chapman. I listened to it on audio. You can get it from our local library and they can get it through inter library loan. Sometimes we try to show love to our teenagers and this author claims that if we are not speaking in the right love language, our teen may not be hearing us. There are chapters on divorce and blended families as well.
